AGM/AMW 2019

THE FERGUSON CLUB AGM 2019

Was held between  5 – 7 April 2019…..in Wells, Somerset

Over 100 Ferguson Club members and guests had a fabulous weekend. It was professionally organised by Robin Hatcher and his family. The AGM on the Saturday took care of the Clubs business and we learnt of the great success of the Ferguson Club over the last 12 months. There are now over 2,600 paid up members of this great Club. Coaches took the party to the Haynes Motor Museum for the afternoon.

The evening reception and banquet was great fun raising money for local charities through  the auction and raffle. Sunday was a pleasant day out at a local country museum with plenty of vintage tractors.

Fergie in Harrods

Ferguson Tractor in Harrods window promotion

Harrods Store in Knightsbridge played a big part in a recent film – Peter Rabbit.

All of the store windows were turned over to the films promotion. A fergie tractor was required to be part of the window display. The security barriers on each entrance meant the tractor had to be narrow – a standard Fergie would be too wide. A Vineyard (TEL 20) was sourced and the photos tell the rest of the story. The tractor was in place for the months of March/April 2018.

Tractor World Malvern 2018

Tractor World Spring 2018. Malvern.

A great weekend was spent at Malvern. Those of you who attended the show will hopefully agree with me that the variety and standard of tractors and implements entered on the club stand was fantastic, some 22 tractors and 10 implements. Congratulations to prize winners Steven and Geoff Dunn and to everyone you supported me and the club in exhibiting their tractors and implements. Special thanks to Peter Aston for his usual endless support, Ian Richings and David Tomkinson for help in ‘manning’ the stand throughout the weekend and to Norman Ford, chief tea/coffee maker. Also thank you to the numerous members who helped us set up and clear away the stand after the show and who helped out during the weekend, you all know who you are, and without your support the club would not have received so much positive feedback.  Regards, Jonathan Parkes.
