For Sale ; Ferguson TE20 with z120 continental engine for sale.

For sale; 1947 TE20 fitted with the Z120 Continental engine.

Sadly, due to a change of circumstances I have to sell the above tractor. I have done a lot of work to it, 85% done, just requires a full engine rebuild, & main panels painting.The rear end of the tractor is done, have overhauled the hydraulic pump, & PTO shaft bearing/seal. The original engine although it ran, & didnt leak water was badly cracked. Through another club member, I bought a completely uncracked engine, engine stripped down, & no cracks internally or externally, however does need a full rebuild. Both engines, heads, etc included.

New parts included: New 12v starter motor & generator. Modified generator bracket to fit Z120 engine.

New radiator, thermostat, & hoses. New wiring loom, 12v voltage regulator, ignition switch. New carburetor & fuel tap. 2 x front tyres. New front wheel bearings. There are other parts that have also been done, but can go through this with anyone who is interested.

I do not want to break the tractor, as I feel that would be a shame. As far as I am aware the tractor has never been road registered. I do have the age verification certificate from the club.

I used to have a fergy, but sold it a couple of years ago, I do however have a few bits of kit that members may be interested in:-

  1. Front end loader with bucket (1mtr x 750mm) ; Counter weight, unknown weight.
  1. Safety roll bar (goalpost type)       3. cast iron roller, smooth.(2 mtr. wide)

4. Scarcely used(twice) Amtex 5ft topper/scrubcutter.

The good points: it always started first time; tyres are good and show little wear; I started to renovate with some parts taken back to prime and repainted with genuine Fergie grey; radiator has had a minor repair but never leaked. The exhaust manifold had been damaged so I obtained a good restored replacement. Work to do: refit exhaust manifold and silencer; for good restoration sand blast and repaint various parts; replace rear wheel guards; the bonnet needs some work, see photo, but not too much for a panel beater; steering wheel needs to be replaced or straightened; tyres good, rims need sand blasting if the Fergie is for 5 star renovation, otherwise for general use they are what you would expect for a 1951 tractor.
