THE FERGUSON CLUB AGM /AMW held over the weekend of 12TH – 13TH April
Another excellent weekend was had by all attendees of this annual event. Adele and Harry Campbell (Area reps for Northern Ireland) put together a tremendous Agenda. It was centred around The Ivanhoe Hotel just south of Belfast. The hotel itself provided great food and wonderful service.
After the Saturday morning AGM we all went off on a mystery tour coach ride. The tour took in points of interest of Harry Fergusons early life. We saw his birth place and home where his family lived. The place of his first flight in his own aircraft in 1909. Finishing at Newcastle beach where Harry Ferguson completed the first full flight over 3 miles, winning a prize in doing so.
A full three course dinner in the evening at The Ivanhoe included a raffle and auction prizes, all proceeds going to charity. On Sunday 13th April we all went down to Lusk just north of Dublin to see a most amazing tractor collection. This collection has been put together over many years of hard work by Mr Michael Hoey. It was a really great way to end a spectacular weekend.
