Fuel Tank internal corrosion

Can anyone recommend a suitable sealer or fuel tank treatment for a diesel tank? I've a Tef20 that broke down the other week and discovered the fuel tap on the main tank blocked completely. I'd had the tank off a couple of years back and cleaned it out so wasn't expecting it to be as bad. Any recommendations appreciated

Any make of proper tank sealant will be ok, the most important thing is to make sure you get all the diesel residue out of the tank and wash the inside as the sealer instructions. I am assuming it’s rust that is causing the problem and not black sludge in the diesel.

Thanks Sandy. For info if anyone has a similar problem, the tank had quite a bit of surface rust and I ended up clearing the lot after stumbling upon a YouTube video about removing rust from tanks with electrolysis - well worth a look, easy to do and inexpensive.
