MF 35 Diesel rope seals
I am asking for suggestions to help with the front rope seal leaking. Are there additives for the oil that help? What does it cost to replace the rope seals? Can I change over to modern seals or is that even an option? I suspect that it would require a different block or oil pan and or crankshaft?

Hi Jason.
If you look in Journal 107 Winter 2023 or log into the members area you find an article about the rear engine oil seal, this will give you an idea what to look for. In my experience a lot of the time the major oil leak is for the rear sump cork and not the rear engine oil seal.
