Hi all,
I've recently collected my Ferguson TED20 and have been going round greasing all the grease points. I notice there's one on each side at the rear of the front axle casting - I assume to grease the front uprights. However, the grease nipples are a different diameter to those on the rest of the tractor (and one is missing!).
Does anyone know what 'type' these grease nipples are? I need to buy one, plus get a different coupler for my grease gun.
Many thanks,
Jon
Grease fitting - Front casting
Re: Grease fitting - Front casting
Hi Jon
Sorry for the delay in answering your post. The grease nipples for the front stub axles should be 1/8 gas which = 1/8 bsp. As far as I know there is only one size of nipple head, or grease gun end. When greasing the stubs axle it is best to jack the wheel off the ground, which gives you a better chance of some grease going down to the thrust bearing and not just coming out the top.
Sandy.
