Hi fellow Fergies.
Can someone help me please?
What is the torque setting for the nuts on the Combustion Chamber Caps on a Perkins Diesel A152 3 cylinder engine. I have a 1964 35x and there is oil leaking from one of the caps. I realise I may need to replace the copper gasket but I can find no information of the torque settings for the three nuts on the cap.
Help would be gratefully received.
Thank you.

Re: MF35X Torque Setting.
Hi Doc
Like you I cant find a torque setting, I would say try 35 lbs/ft as a starting point. Once they start to leak they are very difficult to stop leaking. If you have to replace the copper ring, it is sometimes better to anneal the copper gasket, or anneal the old gasket which will be of better quality copper.
