Hi
I'm looking to replace worn valve guides in my Perkins A4 212 cylinder head. The valve guides are not exposed on the combustion chamber side of the cylinder head so pressing or hammering out the guides is not possible. Does anyone know what is the correct/easiest way to remove them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
On some Perkins engines they are not fitted with valve guides, and you have to have the valve guides machined to take oversized valve stems. There are valve guides listed for a 212 engine, which would require your head being machined to to accept the new guides.
