Hi,
I need to replace the engine oil in my ferguson TEF20 but don't know how to take the oil filler cap off. It seems to be springloaded but I do not want to remove it by force if there is another way to do so. I can't find any other information online or even in the Instruction book on how to do this.
Thanks.
TEF20 Oil service
Re: TEF20 Oil service
I think if you lift it a little and move it to one side, it has a sort of hook shaped fitting underneath which allows the lid to lock on to the side of the filler neck without removing it.
What could possibly go wrong?

Perfect, Thanks for your help.

A better description would be that the lid flips through 90deg., so the spring still holds it captive but the lid is out of the way.
I've just had a good search around and found this video, lid action at 7:10.
