I have 11.2 X 28 on my TEF. I need one new tyre.
These days you can only get 12.4 X 28 ( or so I think) . Will I notice the difference if one is 12.4 and the other 11.2?
There seems to be various comments about the industry changing the numbers but I can't get my head round it.
Thx
Tyre size question
Re: Tyre size question
Morning David
A 12.4 is about 50 mm taller than a 11.2, you would notice a difference. Have you looked on the British Rubber company web site they have 11.2 x 28 listed.

Re: Tyre size question
Might be worth considering the state of the 'good' tyre. Even if you can get the right size, matching the tread pattern could be difficult. Long term you may be better off with a pair of new tyres - either 10x28 which were standard for a grey or, 12.4/11x28 were the oversize, keeping the good odd one for spare.
Just noticed DMH are advertising 11x28 and 12.4x28 tyres here...

What could possibly go wrong?
