Re: Ferguson TEF diesel 1955.
Really only 2 options. There are 'A' frames available that fit between the lower links something like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252361051006 Lower stabiliser bars on both sides or good tight check chains would be needed as well. Or, you could fit a Ferguson drawbar under the rear axle https://agril...

Re: TEF20 Alternator Conversion
Sorry, didn't mean to mislead you, I thought they might have a kit to fit. To swap to -ve earth from memory, the starter will 'self field' so it will still turn the right way. Large wire from alternator to battery. Small wire to key live via a tell tail bulb ! Should all work. Biggest issue is getti...

Re: Attaching hay bob to Furguson TE20
I'm fairly sure it could be done, first issue would be will the tractor lift it? They're not hugely heavy but the mass isn't close to the tractor. Second is that you may need an adaptor to get the pto to fit. Third is the issue of pto out of gear = no hydraulic lift, so you would be dropping the sha...

Re: Wiring a TEf20push button solenoid
In theory, just swap the + for - and - for + in the diagram and you should be all right. Starters generally 'self field' meaning it should still turn the right way.

Re: Tyre size question
Might be worth considering the state of the 'good' tyre. Even if you can get the right size, matching the tread pattern could be difficult. Long term you may be better off with a pair of new tyres - either 10x28 which were standard for a grey or, 12.4/11x28 were the oversize, keeping the good odd on...

Search for JBL 635
Hi,
I'd be interested in any information about grey TEF JBL635. It was my first full size tractor in early 1980 and we parted company in 1984. I've no idea where it went but would love to know.
Thanks.

Re: TEF20 Poor and no start
White smoke is unburnt diesel which suggests the fuel system is ok. If you have the opportunity give it a tow start. If it goes ok then that may suggest the starter system at fault. Before you tear into the starter, go through all the heavy connections, dismantle, clean, reassemble, paying close att...
