This was a long time ago now, but from what I remember you have to go in through the side plates first and disconnect the control valve fork from the valve before you lift.
Good idea to have a couple of saw horses ready to rest the lid onto as the control linkage hangs down.

Hi, Firstly you need to be aware that you may or may not have a standard pto stub shaft. Adaptors are available. Obviously the diehard would suggest a Ferguson fingerbar mower.
