135 Mark 2 Hydraulic Pump Control Valve - Fitting Info

Hello All, my 135 was struggling to lift on the link arms and nothing obvious wrong, so I've gone for a repair kit in a 'replace everything' overhaul. I also obtained a new control valve which is of the type attached to this message and different from the original.
The actual 'body' with the o-rings fitted fine, once I had drilled the filter arm for the small dowels, but I can find no mention anywhere of how to fit the long spring (salvaged from the original) - the only video I can find from 'Tractor Parts Dog' does not appear to use the spring at all. The AGCO diagrams are not clear - can anyone help please?

Hi Chris.
Can you post a picture of the old valve and the spring that you are talking about, just to clarify the correct part. From my understanding you are fitting a MK 2 valve into a MK 1 pump?, please feel free to give me a call my number is in the journal under Technical.
Sandy.

Hi Sandy, apologies for the delay in responding and thanks for your reply. In the end I re-used the old spring and fitted it on the square rod between the cone (second left) and the valve body. This was then slid into the block and held by a fine lock ring.

Having refitted the pump, reassembled the top cover, etc. and tried it, the original poor lift problem is still occurring so I'll start another thread.

Thanks again, Chris.
