Tvo mixture

Post by Webbo80 »

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had a consistent tvo mixture for my ted20, as my research has thrown up lots of different options?

Its a bit like asking what shade of grey is a T20 painted.

Personally I use 50:50 Petrol and Heating oil. I have heard of people using neat heating oil.

Thankyou for the reply, most people I've spoken to use 50/50, so that sounds good to me!!! A few have come up with a lot more complex concoctions!!!

If you don't want to mix yourself you can buy premixed from rye oils, who will deliver it you just have to mix a bit of petrol in to complete the mix when it arrives with you

Thanks, I've mixed some 50/50, seems to work well enough, someone I spoke to said I could cut it down to 1,3rd of petrol to 2,3rds of heating oil, I might try it, to cut down on petrol cost! ;)

Hi all, I'm running on straight heating oil now! Bit of an experiment, seems to run better than when running on petrol!!! ;)

I mix using the below concoction... remember to set your ignition timing based on a TVO mix, rather than petrol!

75% Kerosene
25% Petrol (E5 only)
2 Stroke Oil
