Hi, I am tinkering with the fergie to try and get it going again, but need to change the oil, the sump plug is really difficult to remove. Has anybody any suggestions please?

Hi Alptf.

If you are unable to get the sump plug out, you can always take the filter screen out that is held with the 6 nuts through the side of the sump and drain the oil this way. Taking the screen out lets you clean the screen and any sludge, or bits of dirt out of the bottom of the sump. With the oil drained it would let you put some heat around the bottom of the sump near the sump plug, I would use a hot air gun, with the sump being aluminium it will expand quicker than the sump plug which may let you get the sump plug out.
