I'm restoring my 1950 TED20 that I've owned for 45 years. I used to use it for carting pig manure when I kept pigs and then straw carting at harvest time but since going out of livestock in 1998 the poor old Fergie has languished outside for most of that subsequent time.
Now decided to restore it back to a nice, but not concours condition .
Like many I guess, it has had a few replacement bits over the years, the major bit being a replacement engine which is a 1953 engine. Also converted to 12v electrics. This was done before I acquired it.
Two things .. 1st easy ... what is the recommended grade oil to use ?
2nd not so .. I'm presuming it has had some front end replacement as it has the front hubs with the 63.50 outer diameter inner bearings !! I note these are more expensive for the inner bearing alone compared to the more common 62mm bearing available as a full kit. The chassis number does not correspond with the group that these bigger bearing hubs were fitted to ?!
Am I right in thinking that you can't change just the hubs for the 62mm type as the stub axles are also different diameter ??
Hoping someone can help or advise
