Re: MF 135 Setting Hydraulics Problem
Hi Chris Have you carried out the setting in order as said in the manual, are you able to get the correct gap at the dash pot for position control. Please feel free to give me a call or send me your number and I will give you a call. The other thing that I would recommend that you do, if not already...

Re: Valve guides MF165
Hi
On some Perkins engines they are not fitted with valve guides, and you have to have the valve guides machined to take oversized valve stems. There are valve guides listed for a 212 engine, which would require your head being machined to to accept the new guides.

Re: MF 35 Diesel rope seals
Hi Jason.
If you look in Journal 107 Winter 2023 or log into the members area you find an article about the rear engine oil seal, this will give you an idea what to look for. In my experience a lot of the time the major oil leak is for the rear sump cork and not the rear engine oil seal.

Re: 135 Mark 2 Hydraulic Pump Control Valve - Fitting Info
Hi Chris.
Can you post a picture of the old valve and the spring that you are talking about, just to clarify the correct part. From my understanding you are fitting a MK 2 valve into a MK 1 pump?, please feel free to give me a call my number is in the journal under Technical.

Re: 135 Rewire Fuse Provision
Hi Chris. On the original old type harness there would be 2 fuses, 1 for the cold start heater plug and 1 for the lighting circuit not sure what comes with your new harness. If I was fitting a fuse box to give control of the individual circuits I would connect to the key switch end of the feed wire ...

Re: lift arms piston
Hi Tim. The 3 grooved piston would have metal piston ring fitted, which from new leak a small amount of oil letting the arms go down slowly The single grooved piston has a black o ring and a white backing washer, this gives a better seal but doesn't guarantee the lift will not drop a small amount. C...

Re: Tyre size????
Hi Tim.
You could fit a 14.9 x 38 tyre, but that won't give you much more width, and if I remember correctly they are expensive.
The other sizes of tyre with appropriate the same R/C would be 16.9/14-34. or 18.4/15-30. which would require new rims and centres.

Hi Patrick
As far as I can remember you will have to drop the rear main to change the seal.

Re: Massey-Harris-Ferguson (Advice Please) Vintage FF35
Hi. Don't think your tractor is industrial, the rear wings are from a MF 135 type tractor and I think the yellow that you see is like a buff undercoat before the grey was applied as the top coat. I also think originally the tractor would have had red tin work and a grey chassis looking at the front ...
